Pet Paradise Sanford

With the grooming, the only requirement I had was to blow dry my Golden’s fur straight. Unfortunately they had ignored my request (which I told verbally, written down on the grooming sheet, and submitted on their website). It’s really not hard to do since I typically do it myself at home. The first picture is when I picked her up from boarding & the 2nd pic is when I groom her at home. The boarding facility itself was great. Lady LOVES the water and would swim all day if possible. However, she is also very well trained so she needs the “okay” or encouragement by a person in order for her to jump in the pool. I mentioned this at check-in, and it seemed like this didn’t get communicated because when I loaded the webcam, she spent her time circling around the pool, looking at the humans, waiting for someone to give her the “okay”. At pick up, I asked about the pool and one caretaker did say she got in once during the 4-day stay but just stood in the shallow end. That’s not like her, so Lady probably felt uncomfortable like she was breaking the rules or something. I usually don’t give reviews, but this was just a mixed experience given how luxurious the facility is. I wanted to take her to a top-dollar place so she could get the best care! I think if we try Pet Paradise again, I will schedule for more individual plays so the team can get to know her better.

Pet paradise was just that. My brother recommended this place during our visit for New years. We took our puppy for his first day camp visit he loved it. The staff were very professional, caring and had extremely good communication. I was nervous, as a first time dog owner and first time at day camp but they did an amazing job with sharing the steps and process. Could not have been happier. Only wish that there was a pet paradise near me in Macon. 😊

Our dog loves Pet Paradise! We always feel like he’s in loving hands when he comes here for day play or boarding. We recently enrolled him in on-site board and train with Caroline and she is simply amazing. We enjoyed her caring approach and our boy returned home with manners and obedience. Highly recommend this location and Caroline if your pup has training needs or if you are looking for a fun and friendly play environment for your fur friend.

Very friendly staff. Clean and safe environment. At first, I was very worried about leaving my fur babies but the staff made me feel so comfortable. They understood my worries and put my mind at ease. Both are senior dogs. One takes medication for his heart & seizures. Both are not used to being around other dogs. The staff explained how they keep smaller dogs together during playtime but also they take into consideration the different age groups. They made me feel better knowing the staff would be able to administer the meds. Plus, if necessary, they would call. My dogs have now stayed two times and have had a great experience!

This review is about grooming. I had used a different location and had no issues but used the Sanford location for the first time today. I informed them when booking that my dog did not like his feet messed with and they would probably need to muzzle him and that was perfectly ok. I dropped him off no issue. When the groomer called me to tell me that they were done, she informed me that they would be adding an extra handling fee because they had to muzzle him and that he was aggressive when they tried to do his feet. I told her that I had explained that on the phone and I even put it on the paper that he was sensitive about his feet and using a muzzle was fine. I spoke with the assistant manager and she told me that since I had not used the exact wording of he is aggressive and might try to bite you that they didn’t tell me about the possible fee. I did tell them about his feet and to use and muzzle and I have had no issues with any other groomer including the Orlando location of Pet Paradise. I I feel that since I told them both over the phone and on paper that he was difficult about his feet and wood probably need a muzzle that I did my part in letting them know. They however did not do their part in disclosing the possible fees. I was told that since he was difficult to handle and they had to use a muzzle that they would add a extra $25 handling fee after they had groomed him! It is a businesses job to inform the client of all possible fees so I can make an informed decision. Also, the assistant manager went on and on during our phone call about how long the groomer had been there and how she couldn’t even remember the last time they charged that fee it was so rare, making my dog sound like a horrible dog. My dog is a corgi mix. I wouldn’t go here for grooming, if you do, make sure you ask about all extra fees because they do not tell you up front. A

They take excellent care of your pet. My dog does not get along with any dog. He is a rescue. He is not a people person either, however, he loves Pet Paradise in Sanford. They spoil him and love him as if he was their own. I love that!!!😊 My husband and I travel frequently and knowing he is in the absolute excellent care help us travel in peace. Thank you Pet Paradise!

My dog was “mixed up” with another dog at the resort and given a VACCINATION and full exam that was all meant for another dog. This is complete medical negligence. The staff downplayed this, since “he’s fine” and “some dogs get this vaccination early anyway.” Four days later, I’m called again and told that now my pup has a red rash all over his body, believed to be hot spots. They say they won’t medicate without another exam and cytology of the area. It was in fact hot spots because the dogs are allowed to swim and then never dried off or given time to dry off. Staff told me this is “very common” at their facility. (Major problem if you ask me! If you know pups can suffer from this, towel them off a little bit at least!) That day (a Friday), I gave instructions for him not to be allowed in the water any longer. On Sunday when I picked him up, he was still wet, after I had given strict instructions and puppy of course had developed a bad enough infection to need a topical and ingestible antibiotic. The staff then tried to get me to pay for the exam (that he needed DUE TO THEIR FACILITY) and antibiotics, which I refused to pay for. After I picked him up, the staff kept needing more and more people to call me, and eventually I received a voicemail stating “they were comping his exam fee.” Mind you, this is ALL due to what their facility caused. I’m sure many people have good experiences here, but after ONE, it’s very clear there are major health issues for the dogs and since they can’t advocate for themselves, I’m leaving this review as a warning.
